The prime suspect was Alexander's ex-girlfriend, Jodi Arias, who claimed she killed Travis in self-defense. Soon, graphic stories about the Mormon couple's relationship and their lurid sexual encounters emerged, launching a trial filled with sex and deception and raising substantial questions about Arias's deceit-filled world.
Award-winning broadcast journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell unearths Jodi's history to illustrate the disturbing pattern of a murderer in the making. Not what it was advertized to be
By Elizabeth Pirtle
Jane Velez-Mitchell claimed on her show that this book was full of new information. Unfortunately, there was nothing in this book that I did not already know from watching the trial and her show. I would not recommend this to anyone. It was a waste of money and my time

Save your money, no "bombshells" here!
By MistyF.
I was moved to purchase this book based on all the hype on Jane Velez - Mitchells' show on HLN. Leading up to the release she talked frequently about all the "bombshells" that hadn't been talked about before - all the new information that had never been heard before. I'm guessing she must have forgotten to include them here because the book is simply a rehashing of Jodi's life and the trial. Everything in this book was already discussed on every news show out there. There was absolutely nothing in this book that wasn't already public information.

Not very original
By Brian Irby
I'm not impressed. I guess I should have known better, it is written by one of the talking heads from HLN and the forward was written by Nancy Grace. It is basically a written version of the same type of stuff from tv. Yes, I agree, Jodi is a horrible human being. Yes, I agree that Travis shouldn't have been murdered. But, Jodi isn't evil incarnate and Travis was not a saintly martyr. But, that's the tone of this book. I wish the author had toned down the black and white and tried to find the nuance and shades of grey. That would have made this book a lot more interesting and not just a rehash of the Jane Velez Mitchell Show. For instance, in my reading last night, Velez Mitchell was describing the murder and actually wrote that "Travis stood valiantly at the sink while Jodi stabbed him in the back." Valiantly? The only thing missing from her description was that Travis had a heavenly glow as he looked to the sky like the martyr Stephen and saw Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Father.
Another issue in this book, yes, we know Jodi is a liar. She lies, that's her thing. But, does the author have to constantly remind the reader of this? She tempers every quote from Jodi with a comment of the sort that she is a liar or has trouble with the truth.
Could the author not have tried to find some original insight into this case? I'm just very disappointed in the book.
It will probably interest those who didn't follow the case, but won't be much use for those who are trying to understand Jodi.
