Identical Disaster (The Sterling Shore Series Book 8), by C.M. Owens

JAX

My life was simple... until Bo Brendon crashed into my lap. Shy girls aren't my thing, yet somehow, she's under my skin and in my head. It's a f*cking nightmare. Yet it's a nightmare I don't want to give up.

BOLIVIA (BO)

Jax Marshall was an accident. A really sexy, smart, incredibly smooth, hot... accident. He's the kind of guy you shouldn't fall in love with, because he could crush you with barely any effort. Especially someone like me. Either it will be the best thing to ever happen to me, or it will be the disaster that leaves me in ruins.

I guess I'll find out.

Captivating!!! Hilarious!!! BookSmacked!!!

I am still recovering a week later from this book. C.M. Owens continues to put out Amazing reads. This book is a great mixture of comedy and angst which to me is a prize winning formula for a deliciously fantastic book.

Identical Disaster is the 8th book in the Sterling Shore Series by C.M. Owens. However this book can be read as a standalone and has a dual POV.

The main characters are Boliva (Bo) and Jax. What happens when a favor leads to a unexpected series of misfortunate events, well hilarity and trouble ensues.

This book will have you hooked from the get go and you will have no choice but to find out what happens and how it all pans out.

Along the way you will meet some piss yourself laughing characters and they will forever alter how you look at certain things. (no spoilers here so I will leave it at that, but trust me when I tell you some things will never be the same.)

Jax is swoon worthy as is expected when reading a C.M. Owens book. She is brilliant when it comes to writing male leads that will make you clutch your heart and sigh out loud. Jax is no different.

Bolivia (Bo), this may be one of the best female leads so far from this series. I found myself instantly connected to her. CM takes you on a journey of discovery with this character. Bo was sweet, she is a pushover and through out this book you watch Bo discover who she is and what she wants in life.

This book takes you through an emotional journey. I laughed, I cried, I cheered out loud, I had moments where I felt a physical pain in my chest.

This book is a must read. A must re-read. I didn't put it down, I read it in one sitting. And days later I picked it up and went through the journey all over again.

CM continues to write brilliant thought provoking, laugh your ass off books that will leave you panting for more. She is truly an author that is worth reading, again and again and again.

Note: I was provided with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And in my honest opinion you must must get this book

Embrace the Crazy and read ID
By Anny
I can always count on CM to write a story that gives me all the feels and a whirlwind of emotions.

I was lucky enough to receive ID during the Midwest blizzard as an ARC for an honest review. A snow day with Jax and Bo, not to shabby. As for their story this one was different from the rest, mainly because Jax and Bo aren't a key part in the "group" setting, they are friends of friends and therefore didn't know each other. I really enjoyed this component, AND not to mention the whole TWIN aspect. I thought CM did the twin story justice. I really didn't want to hate Bora, Bo or Jax for essentially being entwined and it didn't happen. There was a smooth transition with sweet, hysterical, and touching moments.

The first 30% had me laughing so hard at times I needed to set the book down and just enjoy what I was reading, take a breath and continue. But as always all good things must come to an end, but CM you're sneaky and I seriously never saw THAT hiccup in the road. I could have just slapped Jax, but what Bo gains in the interim is worth the heartache.

Now, since these two are on the outskirts of the circle (making their way in) we didn't see alot of the other couples as we do in previous books, but IMO this was very necessary since we had little to go on and background of our couple. Don't worry we still get a peek at a couple pranks, triple dares, and auto correct text messages gone horribly, hysterically wrong.

I always feel redundant when writing a Sterling Shore review "it was great" "i loved it" "blah blah blah" but really it WAS great, I DID love it, and I CAN'T wait for the next one :)

oh and PS - Vince Jaggons, I can't even.

By Christine Bannenberg
Once again CM Owens has made a spot on book! This is about Bo doing her identical twin sister Bora's dirty work and break up with her boyfriends she gets bored with usually after about 2 weeks. She sends Bo to break up with Jax but when she get's to his apartment he's stood there in a tiny towel and she's done for! Jax is preparing to take Bora on a family vacation to annoy his interfering mom and then break up with Bora. When she turns up (Bo acting as Bora) he convinces her to go on vacation with him not knowing it's Bo. He finds her behavior odd but decides he likes this side of her more than the bed buddy side. The story goes from here and into the discovery of each other and their families. All the characters are hilarious. Vince, Jax's parents, Jax's friends, Bo's friends. Everyone plays a part in the humor and Bo's weakness to do for all and not putting herself first.

Bo tries to do her best to act like Bora and also her struggle with actually liking Jax and not wanting to hurt him with her lies. And for Jax him trying to figure out what was going on with Bora (really Bo) and not being able to piece it together. Bora never told him a any personal details including having a twin sister and he finds he really likes her but can't figure out why the change in personality.

Jax - he has absolutely stole my heart!! I don't know which part I laughed at the most - his private whacking room, running into Vince and putting up with Vince's actions.

Bo.... She's so sweet and wants to help anyone and everyone she can all at her own expense emotionally and monetary. She goes from doormat to numb and emotionless to strong and sweet!

I am so happy to see so many of the characters from the other SS books and the humor they all have together. I especially love the humor of Bo's dad Vince and his speedo's, naked chaps and the butt stories to see who can tell the best story. Jax by far won!!

I experienced laughter, crying, sadness, wanting to comfort people, happiness and complete happiness and love with the ending. CM Owens never disappoints but makes each story better the the previous ones. How does she do it? She is by far the best writer. I would love to meet her in person one day and thank her in person for the excellent writing.
